Bus services are provided for a limited number of students at an additional cost.

Rules for Proper Bus Conduct
  • We appreciate the co-operation and good behavior of students in our buses.
  • We appreciate their support in helping us to maintain safe conditions.
  • All MIS students are representatives of the school and must behave in an appropriate manner, while on the bus.
  • All students are expected to respect and adhere to the following rules:
  • Bus students must stay in the bus area and shall not go out of school or to the grocery.
  • Students must use the correct bus area, and enter the buses immediately.
  • Students must be on time, not run, play or move in between the buses.
  • Students must not push while they are getting on or off the bus.
  • They must sit properly, and not move in the bus.
  • Bags must be stored as directed by the Bus Assistant.
  • Students must not open the window or put hands or head outside the bus.
  • Students must not throw things out of the window.
  • Students must not play, shout or fight in the bus.
  • Students must follow all the bus supervisor’s and driver’s instructions.
  • Eating or drinking is not allowed on the bus. Water is allowed.
  • Students must not leave the bus unless it has completely stopped.
  • Students must not damage anything in the bus.
  • Students who sit in front leave first, without pushing.
  • Students can only get off at their correct stops.
  • Students cannot go on a different bus.
  • Only students and school staff are permitted to enter the bus.
  • Parents or their nanny must collect KG to Gr.3 students from the bus in the afternoon.
  • Students who choose not to co-operate may be suspended from the bus for a period decided by the administration.
  • A cleaning or repair charge is payable for any damage as well as suspension from the bus.
  • Students who continue not to cooperate or who because serious problems may be cancelled from the bus service.
  • All matters relating to buses should be directed to the Bus Manager, Section Supervisors or Heads of Sections.
  • Parents need to inform the administration in writing by 12:15 pm if a student is not taking the bus on a particular day, so as not to delay the bus or cause safety or security related problems.
  • Parents should inform the Head of Section also if students are being collected by a parent or guardian, and sign when they collect.
  • The school does not accept any responsibility for any other arrangements made by parents.
UNIFORM & GENERAL APPEARANCE
  • School uniforms can be bought from the school at the beginning of the academic year.
  • Students should wear the correct MIS uniform at all times in school and on field trips.
  • Girls are not allowed to wear make-up and not to have long nails or use nail polish.
  • Girls who do not wear hijab must keep their hair off their faces, tied back and tidy.
  • No jewelry earrings or anklets are allowed.
  • Boys must have a simple hair cut; no fancy styles are allowed. Long hair is not allowed.
  • Please label all of your child's personal belongings including: lunch box, bag, shirts, trousers, shoes, jackets, towels, school bag, books, etc.
  • All KG1 and KG2 students must bring an extra set of clothes. The set should include shirt or blouse, shorts, underwear and socks. Please send these items in a plastic bag with your child's name on it.

 

  • Regular Days
    • Black shoes and white socks are required.
    • Fingernails must be clean and cut regularly.
    • Hair must be tidy.
    • Girls with long hair must have it pulled back or plaited.
    • Boys must have their hair short and well groomed.
    • Sandals & Slippers are not allowed at any time.
    • Trainers are only allowed on P.E (Physical Education) days.

     

    On Physical Education (P.E.) Days
    • Students must wear P.E. uniform (provided by the school).
    • Regular school shoes are not allowed on P.E. days.
    • White trainers and white socks.
